Gallia beer was originally brewed at 21 Rue Sarrette in the 14th arrondissement, where the Alsatian J.J. Wohlhüter created the biggest brewery in Paris. Winner of a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition in 1900, its undisputed success began to decline at the start of the 1960s amid fierce competition. Production was progressively abandoned. All this was without bearing in mind two schoolboy friends, Guillaume Roy and Jacques Ferté, who were passionate about this beer and in 2009 decided to bring this Parisian beer back to life in agreement with the brand’s descendants.
