Badisch Rose Gold (Rotgold)

Juicy - Rose Gold - Classic

This Rotgold wine, which is German for Rose Gold, has lots of technical production details, but to keep things simple: this type of labour-intensive wine is not made very often but when done successfully it's just delightful. It's a German winemaking technique that uses an exclusive blend of Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir to be classified as "Rotgold" wine. In summary, this is actually one of the few times that rosé is made using both red and white grapes (but it's much more complicated than the punchbowl mixing you might be thinking of). Bettina Schumann spent over two years developing and perfecting the blend and gave new life to this traditional winemaking method. This speciality blend is made with 60% Pinot Gris and 40% Pinot Noir for a wine with a lovely drinking flow, a touch of spice, and a bit of sweetness. An exceptionally tasty rosé
