Frühburgunder (german for Früh = Early, Burgunder= Pinot) is a very rare grape variety and is considered to be the weird cousin in the Pinot Noir family. As the name suggests the Frühburgunder grapes are ripe two weeks earlier than its Pinot Noir cousins, which make it a very difficult and care intensive grape. But if you treat the Frühburgunder grapes right, you are rewarded with a beautifully layered wine. Fabian knows how to handle this grape and produced a wonderfully warm wine. Ripe berries, slightly spicy and a little bit a marzipan make this the ideal wine to lounge on your couch and relax.
