5 Elementos Reserva Tinto

EUCALYPTUS – SOUR CHERRY- ROASTED NUTS
This special reserve wine is made with the classic 5 Elementos, but the two years it spent maturing in a barrel make it a different wine. But you might be wondering, what does barrel ageing actually mean? In the past, almost all wines were aged in oak barrels because there was no other material. But over time, large tanks made out of new material, like stainless steel, we’re built to store the wine during production. And while these stainless steel tanks can make some great wine, the old school wooden barrels are the gold standard for expanding the flavours of the wine. Now, that being said, ageing in oak barrels is not right for all wines because it can alter the flavours significantly. But with a wine like this Reserva, the wood gives this wine more power, depth, and added flavours of coffee and roasted nuts. Combined with notes of sour cherry, fresh eucalyptus and tannins, make this a very premium wine.
