Domaine Jones
After 17 years in the wine trade Katie Jones gave up her safe job and bought a tiny domaine with old vines in Languedoc, in the south of France. In the fall of 2009 she started the work in her vineyard and produced her first wines. With the help of known Australian winemaker David Morrison, a “consultant wine maker” living in France, Katie produces wines which fizz over with delightful aromas of her old vines and reflect the terroir the grapes were grown on. Katie`s wines manage the balancing act between respect for the old and experimenting with modern style. Katie took a risk with opening her own winery but she is on the way to big success and her wines are now critically acclaimed.
