When you walk through the vineyards of Rainer Stein, you get the feeling the clocks are ticking a bit slower. One of Rainer’s professed goals for this summer is to combine work with more of the pleasant things in life. A very sensible idea! But don't get the wrong impression. A lot of blood and sweat went into the making of these wines. Especially the steep slope vineyards, which make for 1/3 of all of the vine area, call for a lot of enthusiasm. But the result is worth the effort. All of Raine´s wines persuade through a certain elegance and minerality, but also have a sturdy power to themselves.
