Before winemaker Gabriel devoted himself to his love for wine and started his career as an oenologist and studied design, which is still reflected on his bottles today. In addition to Gabriel, his brother Alberto is part of Can Leandro. Together, the two tinker with the future of their winery and focus on recovering local vines (indigenous varieties), planting them and producing wines from varieties that have been lost over the years. The local varieties Bonicaire, Monastrell and Merseguera were almost gone before the duo managed to give the grape varieties new value and produce wines of the highest quality that would have been unthinkable from these grapes years ago. Old vineyards, local varieties and the greatest possible respect for the environment - that is Can Leandro's philosophy.
