François Hanau
Young German entrepreneurs Rocky Musleh (event organiser and restaurateur) and Lutz Hanus (director of a digital marketing agency) created an original and full of character Gin as an homage to François de la Boë. De la Boë, doctor and scientist, was born in the 17th century in their home town of Hanau - a suburb of Frankfort - before moving to the Netherlands. He is known to be the first person to blend alcohol with juniper and refine it with other plant-based ingredients. The special drink has been developed without any industrial additives or artificial flavours – in a traditional, wood-fired “Rosenhut” pot still and distils it two to three times. Reflecting its origins, François is available in a brown apothecary bottle François’ link to its home town is also illustrated on the label featuring a swan, symbol of Hanau coat of arms, with a juniper branch in its beak. Francois Dry Gin is also an essential component of James Bond’s favourite cocktail! “My name is…” FRANCOIS! FRANCOIS HANAU DRY GIN!
