Invader
HOP - MANDARINE - WOODRUFF
When opening this wine, don't expect anything normal! An orange wine is a mash of fermented white wine, but similar to red wine, it is fermented with the grape skins. This gives it tannins and a pretty freaky and unique aroma.
The geniuses behind Eschenhof Holzer love to experiment and always end up with brilliant - sometimes wild - results. This Müller-Thurgau mash is unique because it's typically a sparkling, fruity white wine. But it’s also a great canvas for naughty and unorthodox techniques like this orange wine mash! The Invader at first seems like an alien attack on our dusted taste buds. With hops, tangerine, woodruff, Mirabelle plums, yuzu, apple... and a list of flavours that is never ending! It even has quite a bit of tannins and still remains refreshing and drinkable. This is a light and ideal entry-level wine into the world of "Orange“ wines! Oh and if all that isn't enough of a reason for you to try the Invader - the label is inspired by the Space Invader video game. And come on, that's just cool...
