Norrel Robertson, or “The Flying Scotsman” as he is known in Spain, is a highly talented winemaker and the only master of Wine residing in Spain. To earn the title “Master of Wine” you have to have extensive wine knowledge and it is the most demanding and prestigious qualification in the world of wine. Away from the noise of mainstream and the known Spanish wine growing regions, Norrel Roberston has searched for a winemaking region where he can apply this knowledge and skill. He found the qualities he was looking for in Calatayud and fell in love with the old Garnacha vineyards, which are at 600m -1000m above sea level.
