Weinhaus Bettina Schumann

Bettina Schumann's story is a little different than most winemaker stories you hear. She didn't grow up on a vineyard and doesn't come from a family of winemakers but instead is from Berlin. But that didn't stop her from discovering her passion for wine at the age of 12 while on a trip to Italy. From that point on, her future was clear. She experimented with various methods and was constantly learning as much as she could about the noble grape juice until she finally decided to study in Geisenheim. After that, she spent some time as an operations manager and then immediately jumped head-first into self-employment.

She took over a winery in 2016 and has been at home in Badischen ever since. Bettina's passion has resulted in wines that are unique, exciting, a bit different and all-around great. We're excited to work with another brave women winemaker can't wait to see what she does next!
